Bye bye

Kuva
It is my last day in Jamaica and it is time to say goodbye. My trip was a very nice and I got many good memories, especially from Mexico which I liked the most. I arrived to Kingston yesterday and now im still here waiting for my bus to leave to Montego Bay. In Kingston I did not have so much time to go around. I visited in Bob Marley museum yesterday and it was totally a worth of money (entrance is 25 US dollars per adult). Time to say bye bye, soon im on the sky and let's see when is a time for the next adventure! ;)

My first days here went quite fast. Mostly I just hang out with some couchsurfer who showed the main shopping centre in the centre of Cancún, called Plaza las Americás. You basically find everything from there, a big supermarket Chedraui, movie theatre, many pharmacies, clothing stores, restaurants and so on. It was also funny to realize how the big shopping centres are something important for Mexicans. For example on Sundays the whole Mexican family might go and spend all inside the shopping centre, just taking their tim...

Some days in Negril

Kuva
While I’m writing this text I’m sitting at the Noman Marley International airport in Kingston. Some of my Jamaican friends just dropped me here and now I need to just wait and take a flight to Cancún, Mexico. First week passed by fast, good time in Mobay and Negril. Actually, now I could tell more about my time in Negril where I spent 4 days. Negril is the main city on the west coast of Jamaica and it is well-known of beautiful beaches, more closely, the main beach in Negril is about 7 miles a long and mostly all the main hotels/hostels/guest houses are located there. It was an amazing feeling to have a short stroll over the beach side and see how the white sand line and crystal clear water continues miles and miles until the horizon. However, I was not only lying on the beach. I also decided to have a real experience of Jamaica and see what is the real life all about here. I got a chance to stay in my local friend’s place and spent some time with people at the area/local village...

Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls

Kuva
Ocho Rios is a former fishing village on a wide bay that was developed for tourism in the mid-1980s. The frequent docking of cruise ships (sometimes three in a day) at the central pier that commands the town’s focus gives ‘Ochi’ a slightly ‘packaged’ feel, spiced up by the entreaties of ‘guides’ and souvenir sellers. The hassle quotient is relatively minor, however, and the town has a relaxed vibe when there's no ship in dock.  ( https://www.lonelyplanet.com/jamaica/northern-jamaica/ocho-rios ) Yesterday we did a small day trip to Ocho Rios where locates the most famous waterfalls in hole Jamaica. Those water falls are called Dunn's River Falls and nowadays it is more like a tourist attraction in Ocho Rios area. Actually, I could describe it to be-be more like an amusement park which all kind of fun things for families. But I really enjoyed to climb up the Dunn's River Falls and the water there was super refreshing and cool. On our way to Ocho Rios:) We ...
