Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls
Ocho Rios is a former fishing village on a wide bay that was developed for tourism in the mid-1980s. The frequent docking of cruise ships (sometimes three in a day) at the central pier that commands the town’s focus gives ‘Ochi’ a slightly ‘packaged’ feel, spiced up by the entreaties of ‘guides’ and souvenir sellers. The hassle quotient is relatively minor, however, and the town has a relaxed vibe when there's no ship in dock. (https://www.lonelyplanet.com/jamaica/northern-jamaica/ocho-rios)
Yesterday we did a small day trip to Ocho Rios where locates the most famous waterfalls in hole Jamaica. Those water falls are called Dunn's River Falls and nowadays it is more like a tourist attraction in Ocho Rios area. Actually, I could describe it to be-be more like an amusement park which all kind of fun things for families. But I really enjoyed to climb up the Dunn's River Falls and the water there was super refreshing and cool.

Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's national treasures. Globally, it is as well-known as Reggae and equally stimulating. There are few places where the Arawak name "Xayamaca" - land of rivers and springs - is more apt. The Spaniards called the area "Las Chorreras" - the waterfalls or springs - and it is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the island. A stone's throw from Ocho Rios, one of Jamaica's fastest growing resort centres, Dunn's River Falls is unique. Described as a living and growing phenomenon, it continuously regenerates itself from deposits of travertine rock, the result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the river, as it flows over the falls. The small dome-shaped cataracts are usually associated with thermal spring activity found in limestone caves. This, combined with its location near to the sea, gives Dunn's River the distinction of being the only one of its kind in the Caribbean, if not the world.(https://www.visitjamaica.com/listing/dunns-river-falls-and-park/30/)

After a fun day at Dunn's River Falls, we decided to head for a dinner to the beach bar/restaurant area called Bamboo Beach.(http://www.bamboobeachclub.com/about-us.html)
There we had a few beers and a nice dinner, it was very relaxing to lay on the beach and watch the beautiful sunset. It was totally worth it to go to see Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls.
